A Personal Note from Dr. Nichols
First and foremost, thank you to those that celebrated with me at our NicholsMD SkinCeuticals Flagship Launch Party! The attendance was unbelievable and we couldn’t have had a more fabulous evening! I hope that those of you who came had a great time too and enjoyed your goodie bags filled with one of my favorite, antioxidant-filled product: CE Ferulic.

Here are some of the fun snapshots taken that night, courtesy of Fairfield County LOOK!

That same week, I had the pleasure of walking the runway at Serendipity’s Fashion Night Out, on behalf of the Greater New York chapter of The American Red Cross. It was a hoot and I had so much fun backstage with my fellow “models” who were walking for their favorite charities. And my NicholsMD team was there, too, cheering for me and administering B12 shots at our table. People were lined up!

Outside the office, my husband and I have been busy traveling, too! He joined me at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in Orlando where I attended professional seminars and live demonstrations on the latest and greatest in the cosmetic, dermatology industry. I like to stay up-to-date so NicholsMD can continue to be a leading dermatology office in offering the most innovative techniques and devices to have you looking your best year-round.

I hope you all enjoy your upcoming Spring Breaks, and I look forward to hearing what’s new with you at your next visit with us.

Best,

Dr. Nichols

Procedure Spotlight: Sculptra™
Over time, your skin loses its full, firm, youthful appearance. This is part of the natural aging process and is accelerated by damage done to our skin by the sun and environment. Collagen and fat tissue that once filled out your face giving you those plump cheeks and defined jawline are now lost. Thus, your face may look thinner, more narrow, and your skin becomes loose and starts to wrinkle in places you never expected. Sculptra™ at NicholsMD could be exactly what you’re looking for!

Sculptra™ is an injectable facial filler that builds your own collagen, providing subtle yet dramatic results that appear gradually and get better with time.  Sculptra™, known as the non-invasive liquid lift, restores volume to your skin by encouraging significant new collagen growth, giving you a more youthful appearance.

Sculptra™ works in the lower layers of the skin to smooth and firm the treated areas of the face. The full effects are not immediate and can take several months to develop, but the long-lasting effects of Sculptra™ make it well worth the wait! This treatment is great for both first-timers to fillers who don’t want to look drastically different overnight, and also filler-veterans who want a longer-lasting filler (Sculptra can last 2-3 years!).

Sculptra can be used to correct:

  • Deep facial wrinkles and folds
  • Flat cheeks
  • Loss of facial volume and deep facial wrinkles and folds
  • Décolletage wrinkling
  • Volume loss in many other areas of the body

Sculptra™ will help restore the contours of your face to compensate for signs of aging – because aging gradually is aging gracefully. Ask our board-certified providers, Dr. Kim Nichols and Katie French, PA-C about our latest procedure so they can evaluate your specific needs and develop a personalized cosmetic plan to achieve the best results – for you.

Masques are Hot Again! The Masques Dr. Nichols’ Swears By

Masques are so popular and effective because they infuse concentrated amounts of vitamins and nutrients into the skin for an extended amount of time. This allows masques to deeply moisturize, calm, heal and nurture your skin’s appearance. But clients often ask – which masques really work and which ones are best for my skin type? Dr. Nichols shared her top masques with Women’s Health Magazine in March 2017, and she’s bringing you even more recommendations here: Image result for women's health logo

For hyper-sensitive skin: SkinCeuticals’ Biocellulose Restorative Masque is a healing salve for damaged or sensitive skin. The sterilized mask features bio-fibers infused with heat-reducing water to cool and soothe irritation.

For acne-prone skin: Skinceuticals’ Clarifying Clay Masque is a non-drying mask, which combines kaolin and bentonite, the highest-quality earth clays.

For dull skin: Skinceuticals’ Phyto Corrective Masque contains highly-concentrated botanical extracts, a calming dipeptide, and hyaluronic acid to intensively soothe and replenish temporary skin reactivity. This intensive calming facial mask cools on contact, comforts skin sensitivity, and restores natural radiance and smoothness.
