Dysport®: Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) is the first competitor neurotoxin to Botox to hit the U.S. market. Like Botox, it is a type of botulinum toxin, but it is dosed differently. Small amounts of Dysport are injected into the facial muscles, which block the neuromuscular signal, resulting in decreased muscle activity in the treated area and prevention of the movements that cause deep frown lines.* When injected by a trained medical professional like a board-certified dermatologist, Dysport does not paralyze these facial muscles; it simply relaxes them, softening and smoothing facial lines and wrinkles.* Dysport is FDA-approved for the treatment of glabella (or “frown lines”), but it is also used on many other facial wrinkles, such as the horizontal forehead lines and crow’s feet around the eyes. Individual results will vary, each treatment is specialized for each patient.*
*Individual results may vary. Any specific claims or permanence length of results vary for each patient and are not guaranteed. Each treatment plan is designed for a patient’s needs, so depending on the area being treated and the condition of the skin each patient will see different results. Please call or schedule a consultation to discuss your treatment plan and the results that can be achieved for you.
