A Personal Note from Dr. Nichols

What’s better than summer vacations and travel? We love hearing about our clients’ trips to exotic places like the Serengeti or the Malfi Coast; and our teenage patients regarding about their summer adventures, hiking in Colorado or exploring ancient ruins in Israel; or just hearing stories about family vacation weeks in Martha’s Vineyard or fun at summer camp. It’s all so fascinating and just makes me want to pick up and go myself. 🙂

Speaking of, many of you may know that Andria’s recently returned from her 2-week trip to Europe for her sister’s wedding. She came back refreshed, looking great, and bursting with new procedure ideas straight from London’s hottest cosmetic dermatology offices and spas. Once she said was all the rage was LED light therapy, which I am happy to say we are implementing immediately. LED blue and red light 20-minute treatments are an invigorating way to improve the quality and glow of your skin and help to eliminate stubborn acne. Definitely ask about LED the next time you call or come by our office. You’re going to love it!

Well, I’m off to the Outer Banks with the extended family for a week of R&R. I know…watch out for sharks…:) But the staff will be in the office all next week so come in for aesthetic treatments with Andria, or stop by to meet our new administrative assistant, Emily (see below).

You will see Emily’s lovely smiling face most days at the front desk, and will quickly be drawn in by her infectious wonderful laugh on the phone. She’s only been with us a few weeks, and Andria, Vanessa and I can’t imagine working without her. 🙂

Getting To Know Dr. Nichols

Dr. Kim Nichols is the Founding Director of NicholsMD of Greenwich. A board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Nichols is renowned for her expertise in the fields of cosmetic and medical/surgical dermatology.

Before opening her office in Greenwich, Dr. Nichols practiced dermatology on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for the past 6 years. She has been featured as an expert speaker by numerous pharmaceutical, dermatological, skin care companies and organizations.

Dr. Nichols graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University and attended NYU Medical School. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Medical Center and completed her dermatology residency at KDMC/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Nichols lives in the area with her husband and three small children.

I went to Kim Nichols, MD today for the first time, and LOVED my experience! I am not familiar with most of the procedures they offer because I am just starting to focus on my skincare and haven't done much to date. The offices are beautiful, and everyone was SO nice! The two girls that I worked with Lexie and Mikayla were sweet and knowledgable. They took the time to ask me questions and assess my skin before they recommended a pigment balancing peel to start. The procedure itself was easy and I learned so much because they explained every step! 5 stars and then some!

Today, I had my first ever Botox treatment! Chris was amazing. Because everyone is different and their needs can vary Chris explained, in detail, what that meant for me which allowed me to make an educated decision for myself. Chris answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns I had. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable and has a warm, friendly, professional demeanor. The entire staff could not have been more welcoming. From the moment you walk in you feel like you’re amongst friends. A truly wonderful experience.

I absolutely (still) love going to NicholsMD of Greenwich. It's been about a year of treatments and Mikayla is the absolute best. I go for my facials, skincare, and Botox and she nails it everytime. I just had a wonderful experience at NicholsMD! From the moment you enter the lobby, you are treated like a VIP and no detail is overlooked. The space is beautiful, relaxing and welcoming, just what you hope for at a skin care boutique. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, making you feel comfortable and even offering drinks and snacks while you wait. The doctors explain all services available and help you select the best one for your needs. I didn’t feel rushed at all and I asked a lot of questions, LOL! The practice is absolutely stunning. Dr Nichols couldn't have been more engaging and supportive of my treatment as I came in for Ultherapy recently (face & neck). Alyson was an absolute dream to work with. Since the procedure is not the most pleasant (slight discomfort at times), she kept me engaged and distracted so it was all done before I knew it. It's amazing how much firmer my skin felt immediately upon leaving and I am currently awaiting the real results which take 2-3 months to develop. Since many of my friends with thrilled with their Ultherapy treatment, I am pretty excited. I left my visit with a neck protocol duo that includes a SkinCeuticals treatment alongside Dr Nichols' targeted moisturizer. Would absolutely recommend this location for your non-invasive needs.

I got the AviClear treatment, and it was absolutely amazing! The discomfort was minimal (very similar to laser hair removal), and the staff at Nichols was GREAT! I’m going back for my second treatment in two weeks and I cannot wait. My skin already looks better and I haven’t had a breakout since. Can’t wait to see the full results when my treatments are complete !
