I love this time of the year because it’s the time for new beginnings, fresh starts, and a better you. It’s a time for reflection and intention.

2016 for NicholsMD meant a bigger and brighter location (woo hoo!), a growing staff by bringing on Board-Certified Physician Assistant, Katie French, and adding new advanced treatments such as PRP Micro-Needling – a technique using your own stem cells to dramatically improve signs of aging and hair loss; Kybella– an injectable to rid stubborn fat; and Laser Feminine Rejuvenation – a procedure to non-invasively correct and restore feminine wellness.

Sunscreen in the Winter?

Starting in December, we always get this question from our clients – “Do I still have to use sunscreen in the winter?” And the answer is a resounding, YES!!

As we all know, sunscreens prevent signs of premature aging, protect your skin from discoloration, and help to keep your skin healthy and glowing. The reason you need to use sunscreen all year-round is because much of the sun damage that causes skin aging comes from UVA rays, the kind you are exposed to everyday from walking around any time of year. Getting To Know Dr. Nichols

Dr. Kim Nichols is the Founding Director of NicholsMD of Greenwich. A board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Nichols is renowned for her expertise in the fields of cosmetic and medical/surgical dermatology. She has been featured as an expert speaker by numerous pharmaceutical, dermatological, skin care companies and organizations, such as The Dr. Oz Show, New Beauty Magazine, Women’s Health Magazine, and News Channel12. Dr. Nichols is also a Medical Council Physician Member of the Skin Care Foundation.

Dr. Nichols graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University and attended NYU Medical School. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Medical Center and completed her dermatology residency at KDMC/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Beyond her leadership in the medical field, Dr. Nichols is a Board Member of the Greenwich, CT YWCA, and Greater New York City American Red Cross. Dr. Nichols lives in the area with her husband and three small children.

I went to Kim Nichols, MD today for the first time, and LOVED my experience! I am not familiar with most of the procedures they offer because I am just starting to focus on my skincare and haven't done much to date. The offices are beautiful, and everyone was SO nice! The two girls that I worked with Lexie and Mikayla were sweet and knowledgable. They took the time to ask me questions and assess my skin before they recommended a pigment balancing peel to start. The practice is absolutely stunning. Dr Nichols couldn't have been more engaging and supportive of my treatment as I came in for Ultherapy recently (face & neck). Alyson was an absolute dream to work with. Since the procedure is not the most pleasant (slight discomfort at times), she kept me engaged and distracted so it was all done before I knew it. It's amazing how much firmer my skin felt immediately upon leaving and I am currently awaiting the real results which take 2-3 months to develop. Since many of my friends with thrilled with their Ultherapy treatment, I am pretty excited. I left my visit with a neck protocol duo that includes a SkinCeuticals treatment alongside Dr Nichols' targeted moisturizer. Would absolutely recommend this location for your non-invasive needs.

I got the AviClear treatment, and it was absolutely amazing! The discomfort was minimal (very similar to laser hair removal), and the staff at Nichols was GREAT!
