Chemical Peels

Shed the old you, and reveal your healthier, younger looking skin.

What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are performed on clients to treat fine lines, hyperpigmentation, melasma, photodamage, active acne and mild acne scars.

The “Peel” Process

The process involves applying a small amount of a chemical solution (such as glycolic acid) to the skin for a specified amount of time. This causes the damaged top layers of dead skin to shed (peel away visibly or microscopically) revealing healthier, younger looking skin. The dermal layer of the skin is stimulated through this process to produce collagen production.

To see which chemical peel is right for you, and how many treatments you’ll need to achieve your desired result, schedule a consultation with NicholsMD of Greenwich today. Individual results may vary. Any specific claims or permanence length of results vary for each patient and are not guaranteed. Each treatment plan is designed for a patient’s needs, so depending on the area being treated and the condition of the skin each patient will see different results.
